TC skeleton oil seal is double‑lip rotary shaft lip‑type seal with fully rubber‑covered outer case. It consists of metal reinforcing frame, NBR rubber body, main sealing lip, auxiliary dust lip and garter spring.
Garter spring provides consistent radial force for main lip to prevent lubricant leakage. Outer dust lip keeps dust, dirt and moisture out of equipment. Rubber‑covered outer shell creates tight interference fit in housing bore. Widely applied on rotating shafts for motors, pumps, reducers, gearboxes and construction machinery.
Material Options
Standard Material: NBR Nitrile Rubber
‑Hardness: Shore A70‑90
‑Alternative: FKM fluoro‑rubber for high‑temperature & chemical‑resistant service.
Internal Components
‑Metal frame: structural rigidity for stable dimension
‑Garter spring: maintain radial pre‑load to compensate lip wear and shaft run‑out.
Working Parameters
‑Working Pressure: ≤0.05 MPa (TC type for non‑pressure service, not for high‑pressure)
‑Temperature: ‑30℃ ~ +100℃, short‑term peak up to 120℃ (NBR)
‑Peripheral speed: ≤15 m/s, high‑speed modified version available
‑Media: Mineral hydraulic oil, engine oil, gear oil, lubricating oil & grease
Not suitable for strong acid, alkali or aggressive solvents.
Typical Applications
Construction & mining machinery, commercial vehicle auto‑parts, pumps & valves, gear reducers, general‑purpose motors, agricultural machinery, machine‑tool transmission parts.
Features
1. Double‑lip TC design: inner lip for oil retention, outer lip for dust exclusion, double‑protection against leakage and contamination.
2. Fully rubber‑covered outer surface, good sealing in housing bore, reduces outer‑circumference leakage risk.
3. Garter spring compensates lip wear and minor shaft eccentricity for longer service life.
4. NBR nitrile rubber delivers good oil‑resistance with cost‑effective general‑purpose performance.
5. Compact structure, standard metric sizes for easy replacement.
6. Rich standard sizes, custom seals available per drawing or sample.
Important Notes
1. TC skeleton oil seal is for non‑pressure rotary service only. Select pressure‑resistant oil‑seal for pressurized systems.
2. Shaft surface finish and shaft run‑out strongly affect service life; keep shaft surface free of burrs and scratches.
3. Protect main sealing lip during installation, avoid sharp‑tool damage; do not twist oil‑seal while fitting.
4. NBR is not suitable for high‑temperature or heavy‑chemical environments; choose FKM version for harsh conditions.
5. Housing bore tolerance must comply with standard; bore deformation will cause outer‑perimeter leakage.
6. Shaft size, bore size, thickness and rotating speed are key selection parameters.
